The coiler around the platform rotates freely on the shaft. 6 no. guide pillars are mounted all round the periphery of the round platform so that the rod does not go out of the coil diameter.

2. We also manufacture motorized coiling unit . The round platform is rotated with the help of speed controlled AC motor coupled with gear box. The round platform can be rotated at any speed synchronized with the casting speed from the continuous casting machine.

Rod bending unit is meant to bent the rod to make a coil. A high gear ratio (1:400 ) gear box is coupled with 3 HP AC motor with speed control with two out put shafts rotating at the same speed , on which two pinch rolls are mounted. A hydraulic jack on which two pinch rolls are mounted is fixed just at the bottom of the gear box pinch rolls.. At the other end of the rod entry there are three mounted rollers. Two are fixed rollers and the center roller is adjustable; it determines the OD of the coil.. The rod entering from the gear box side is clamped between the pinch rolls The hydraulic jack is lifted to clamp the rod. When the motor is energized the pinch rolls push the rod in, to the bending rolls where two fixed & one adjustable roll is mounted The rod is bent & comes out of the rod bending unit & falls on the coiler. The push from the gear box pinch roll in to the rod makes the rod move forward . This rotates the coiler. The rod movement of the rod is controlled by the Speed control of the AC motor.
